Welcome to Good Shepherd Parish Family Faith Formation Registration for Grades PreK - 5!

If you wish to register your child for Youth Minsitry, please click on the Youth Ministry tab to the right of this page.

We are excited to begin a new year working with families to learn together about our Catholic Faith. Family Formation programs at Good Shepherd Parish:
- Meet for classroom sessions twice each month
- Complete assignments at home twice each month
- Include catechesis for parents/adults once each month
- SPY1, SPY2 & RCIA have 2 parent/child retreats each year

*CHILDREN PREPARING TO RECEIVE THE SACRAMENTS OF INITIATION AT ANY GRADE LEVEL, PLEASE NOTE: The Diocese of Portland requires children to attend faith formation or Catholic school for two consecutive years – beginning in grade 1 or higher -- in order to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. Each year of formation is to include adult catechesis, parent and child retreats, and interviews; the program is designed to help your family prepare for the gift of these sacraments.

If your child is in grade 2 and did not complete a faith formation program or attend a Catholic school last year, your child will begin the first year of preparation this fall to receive the sacraments in 2021.

If your child (of any age/grade level) is not baptized please contact our office as soon as possible for instruction; if your child has been baptized we require a copy of their Baptism Certificate.
